Make A Difference Art Show Returns in 2027 with a Bold New OPEN CALL Format
Wilmington, NC – The Make A Difference Art Show will return March 12–14, 2027, at Station No. 2 in Wilmington, North Carolina, with an exciting evolution in both vision and presentation.
After a successful year of bringing artists and community together through impactful, cause-driven exhibitions, the 2027 show will expand into a more inclusive Open Call format - embracing the belief that all art has the power to make a difference.
This updated direction reflects a broader and more unified approach, welcoming a wide range of artistic styles, perspectives, and voices from across the country in this National Call for Art. While the show continues its commitment to supporting nonprofit partners, the focus will shift toward celebrating creativity as a universal force for connection, inspiration, and change.

Built in April 1915 by local architect, James F. Gause, Engine Company 2 was home to six men, two horses, and a two-horse hose wagon. The Station used horse-drawn wagons until 1918 when the last fire horse was retired. Engine Company 2 was relocated in 1956. Over the years it has been both a residential and commercial space. In 2017, the building was upfitted as an event space and opened to the public.
